In honor of the first day of fall ...

Let's recap summer!

This summer was a blast! My favorite time of the year!

I love how long the days are, how comfortable the mornings and evenings have been, and I even love the heat... because it usually equals pool time or a popsicle.

Besides soaking in normal summer activities, i.e. popsicles, parks, and water fun,

we attended swim lessons!

with Lindsey and Woody!

Went to birthday parties and attended playdates...

Grandma Moyer's 90th birthday

Jackson's 3rd birthday

Woody's 1st birthday

We've visited animals frequently...

especially the ducks

and the pet store...poor man's zoo :)

We went to the beach...

the aquarium...

and the Birmingham Zoo!

There were even spend the night parties with grandparents and lunch dates with daddy! We've been numerous times to the lake with family, and those trips have gotten even more frequent now that football has started!

However, I am also thankful for changing seasons. Right when you start to get bored of the weather, or the seasonal clothes, or festivities.... it changes.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-22

For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; ...

Oh, how I am so thankful, and so unworthy, of the blessings I have on this Earth, and even more unworthy of God's grace for me. It's unfathomable how he created everything to work as it does, and his timing in all of it is nothing short of perfect.

Have a Happy Fall Y'all!
