I'm not the only one nesting!

Nesting (as defined by wikipedia): In human females, the nesting instinct often occurs around the fifth month of pregnancy[1][4], but can occur as late as the eighth, or not at all[citation needed]. It may be strongest just before the onset of labor....

I am in fact in my 8th month of pregnancy, 33 wks to be exact,  that's 49 more days people, which only leaves seven more weekends, and that's if I go to my due date! I'm feeling the need for everything to be PERFECT in our humble little home. After all, our little guy is going to be here in less than two months!

I have been "nesting" for some time now. Driving my hard working husband crazy with ridiculous expectations, hidden agendas, and stupid questions. However this weekend, the nesting bug hit Ryan, and hit him hard. I didn't take pictures of everything, because I had my hands pretty busy as well, but here's a list of what was done!
-counter tops installed
-baby's room painted and stripes completed
-light switch covers throughout the house
-handles put on the cabinets in the kitchen
-sink and faucet installed... we now can wash ALL dishes in the kitchen... yippee!
- all construction materials, debris, and tools removed from the house
-floors swept, mopped, and furniture put in the right place in the dining and living room
- paint touch-ups done throughout the house
-crib assembled
-garbage taken to the dumpster
-curtains washed and rehung
-garage reorganized
-car seat and stroller assembled and ready to be installed tomorrow!
-all baby "stuff" in the nursery awaiting assembly or a run through the washing machine!

This might be a record for diyers... yep, pretty sure I should call Guinness.

Here's a few photos from the weekend.
Well... this picture actually happened Monday. This guy came out and made a template for how the counter tops were going to be cut. I thought it was pretty cool. He literally hot glued these thin wooden strips together to resemble our counter tops.

Installation of counter tops on Friday! They were heavy! Or so they said. :)

Ryan hooking up the plumbing for our BEAUTIFUL sink!

Getting ready to paint details in the baby's room!

Touching up.

We are LOVING the baby's room! The stripes look amazing!
Tune in soon for a full reveal of both the kitchen and the nursery!
