Hylan Marie turns THREE

Oh my goodness, how did three years go by so quickly?!

I barely can understand how the sleepless nights passed, diapers no longer take up my purse, and this little human can not only walk and talk... but can make me double over in laughter at the funny facial expressions she can throw and speed at which she can chase her big brother. :)

Since Hylan Marie's birthday is in January, we struggle in the birthday party department. Our current house is not big enough to hold many people inside, and that's what has to happen in January. Her first birthday (here) we kept it small with a family meal inside. For her second (here) we had a tea party... and oh how fun that was... and for this one, we decided to have a destination birthday. hahaha... to none other than The American Girl Store and Hotel in Georgia. She has a deep love for dolls and so we decided to just have a small family party the day of and then head out to the weekend to have our first American Girl Experience with a sweet friend from MMO! Leesl and Hylan Marie are only a few days apart and have become fast friends. It was a blast celebrating our girls together!

This was her last night of being a two year old!

The next day, we woke up and sang to our little girl.
She kept trying to blow the candles out from the top instead of the side... and kept saying ouch, hot! Bless! She finally got it. :)

We went to McWane with friends! Got to love those season passes!

And it's always good when daddy can hop over from the office and give some birthday sugar!

She slept on the way home and it gave me time to set up a little celebration. Burke even did a little birthday prep. :) Sweet thing put the balloons we blew up inside the helium tank box and wrapped it in no other than ... Toomer's Toilet paper that we kept from the AL/AU game. :) You know you're special when....HA!

And she loved her flowers from her daddy too, Swoon.

Daddy picked up the cake I ordered from Publix on his way home from work. All she wanted was a "doll-doll cake" and the only thing that I could find that wasn't completely odd, was this Barbie cake. Well... it was a huge hit. lol
Publix y'all!

Ree and Papa!

THREE!

That weekend we headed to North Georgia... but not before taking a quick hike to put out corn. :)

We arrived and oh my word. It was adorable.

So adorable, that Burke decided he would sleep in the closet. haha
He refused to sleep on all that pink. lol
He came around... don't worry. :)

This one "checked-in" as a VIG (Very Important Girl) and was treated like royalty.

The check-in was PRICELESS I tell you. They staff was so kind... she wasn't up to it when we first got to the hotel (super groggy from the ride), and just told us to come back whenever she wanted. She was ready after we unpacked and were making our way to the AG store.

Next pic is possibly my most favorite from the trip, :) That smile!

We then met our friends at the AG store!

Ok, so bringing a three year old into this store isn't that bad... I got out really good. She didn't really ask for anything, but a pet and it's cage (carrot the bunny... sooo cute!) to go with her current doll, Ashlyn, a Welliwisher. And got to spend her bday money from Uncle Jon, Aunt Magan, and Claire on a cute little guitar accessory kit she had to have! I was pleased. :) She and Leesl mostly wanted to play in the Welliwisher house and play with the strollers and dolls they had out in the store. So thankful! ha!

So fun that Mary Grace could join us too!

LOVE!

While we shopped, the boys went to Dave and Buster's... where Burke apparently had the time of his life and decided he indeed does love the 'Doll-doll hotel" just so he can come back to that arcade. ha!

That night we had pizza and cupcakes by the pool!
It was cold, but Ryan made me get in. :) His words- "We didn't come all this way to have a pizza and pool party, only not to swim. GET IN." lol
I was glad he made me... we had a ball.

This is where we stayed most the time...haha. Just today, Hylan Marie asked if we could get in a hot tub. lol I WISH!

The mommas!

The next day, we had a scrumptious breakfast and headed home!

It was a great trip. One I will always remember! I kind of hope we keep the destination birthday for January a little tradition. :)
