Burke turns SIX

Last week this boy had his last day of being a five year old!

He woke up on March 2nd to a little Mario surprise box :)

and some completed decor for his party!

Doughnut pile for the win!

After and festive Dr. Seuss filled day at school, we played with our buddy Jack at the "blue park" and put out mulch during nap time. Good birthday gift, huh? lol

He did a fun birthday surprise though!
Ree stopped by with an awesome gift!

I mean... she nailed it. lol

Burke got to choose dinner and the choice of activity that night... for which he chose to play Mario on the Wii. :) He loves when Daddy plays with him.

The next day, we went to the Auburn vs. South Caroline basketball game, where the Tigers clinched the SEC title! War Eagle! (Thanks PaPa and Ree for the awesome tickets!)

Sunday after church we prepared for Burke's Super Mario party!
Thank goodness for Billy and Shireen, and my awesome husband for helping me get all these decorations up!

Everything was pretty much crafted the week before after putting kids to bed. I love stuff like this! By the end, however I was ready to have those extra hours of sleep back! ha!

So worth it for this boy!

Shireen said, "I don't know if I've ever seen him so excited about a party before." And she was right. He was in Mario heaven with his buddies!

Notice sister's shoes... hahaha
She adores Hudson... and his kicks. ha!

Hylan Marie and Leesl are inseparable. :)

A few friends left before I remembered to take a group pic. Boo!

So good to snuggle Claire for a bit!

And I'm just now noticing Lawson's shirt! So festive! haha!

Cake from Walmart people. I was impressed.

Such a fun day celebrating six years of Burke!

We can't imagine life without this boy. He is wild, yet snuggly. Kind, yet will stand his ground and take up for himself despite his small little frame. He is his sister's best friend, but will also fuss with her at the drop of a hat. He is a Mario, Star Wars loving little boy due to his daddy mostly. haha
He loves playing with his best bud Jack, and can't wait to see his cousins on the daily.
I'm not sure how we got so lucky to be his parents, but we are surely blessed!

Happy Birthday, Burke. You are such a shining light!
